The need for Daughter Earth was felt when the the founder, Prasanthy Gurugubelli and her team observed that existing luxury skincare brands were missing out on this balance. Albeit well intentioned, these brands were using natural products without sufficient scientific rigour. Some brands would even formulate products with a high concentration of essential oils (Jasmine, for instance) that have known allergens and skin irritants. This lack of fidelity to science among existing brands, prompted the creation of Daughter Earth in 2018.

Daughter Earth has a personality that is clean, scientific, ethical and conscious. Its processes are reef-safe and cruelty free, with no animal or animal derived ingredient, as certified by PETA. The brand also cares deeply about afforestation and girl child education. Angelic, ain't she?
